Krysta is a Graphic Visual Designer, creating and living in Venice, California. She specializes in Branding, Logo Design, Packaging, Product Design, Layout Design, Illustration & Presentations.
Krysta has been introduced and exposed to a variety of museums and artists. Galleries and exhibits inspired Krysta to venture in her practices the symbiosis of analogue and digital worlds, integrating hand drawn sketches and watercolor paintings into her design and typography. Influenced by the melting-pot carnivalesque beach community of Venice, she incorporates the vibrant colors of her hometown, with its graffiti, music, and skateboard culture. Krysta draws inspiration from designers such as Jessica Walsh & Stefan Sagmeister, and installation artists such as Pipiloti Rist.
While freelancing, Krysta has enjoyed a variety of projects. She assisted in the creation of branding and collateral for the television show Inn The Works, as well as helped develop branding, signage, website graphics, merchandising campaigns, and other marketing materials for Oak Knoll Lodge and Springs Motel. She has also worked as project manager for Knotty Pine creating merchandise campaigns for Corkcicle, Adidas and Health Aid.
For Documentary+, she collaborated on advertising, key art and banners for multiple platforms. She also developed key art, banners and website graphics for creative the film studio Second Nature, partnered with Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon, and FX. For Some Friends media, Krysta coordinated the creation of new branding, website graphics and banner ads for the company, and ultimately launched that campaign. It was a major success across all streaming platforms.
In 2022 Krysta graduated from UCLA earning her Design & Communications Arts Certification through the Extended Education Program. Her instruction included package design, branding, advertising, typography and illustration. Upon graduation, the Design Communication Arts Department nominated her as “most dynamic and interesting student” in her program, due to her positive energy and ability to contribute fresh ideas to her peers. This recognition has landed her work on the UCLA website.
Krysta is interested in full-time, freelance, or contract work. Happy to work remotely or on-site.
